Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3+4 Remaster Is Official, Launches July 11
After several teases, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 Remaster has officially been confirmed and it will be launching for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Switch on July 11. In addition to a standard edition of the game, there’ll also be deluxe and collector’s editions that offer three days early access.
Rumors regarding a remaster of THPS 3 and 4 have been circulating for a while–even after the remake was reportedly rejected so that developer Vicarious Visions could focus on more Call of Duty content–but last month saw a flurry of activity related to the franchise. Pro skater Tyshawn Jones said that he was going to be in a new remastered Tony Hawk game, and not long after, Call of Duty’s new Season 2 Reloaded update hinted at a THPS reveal in its Grind map.
The remake was all but confirmed after the official THPS website posted a countdown and Tony Hawk himself appeared online to tease the new game. For fans of the franchise, it has been a long wait for these new remasters to arrive, as Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 was first released in 2020.
No other THPS games have been released since then, but Hawk did assure fans in 2024 that the franchise would continue to skate on. Meanwhile, THPS rival Skate is also due to make a comeback, with the revival being developed by Vancouver-based studio Full Circle. There’s no release date for it yet, but sign-ups for a beta recently went live.
