Diablo 4 Season 7, Season of Witchcraft, has arrived. The new season features powers from the Witch Doctor class in Diablo 3, including abilities like Firebats and Poison Frogs, which can be unlocked and wielded by any class. These new abilities are earned from the seasonal quests, which have you defeating Headrotten enemies in overhauled Tree of Whispers tasks. The Tree of Whispers area has been updated this season as well, making navigating the area a bit easier, and the rewards have been upgraded to make completing whispers more enticing.

Season 7 also adds a new battle pass, with 90 tiers of free and premium rewards to unlock over the course of the season. To match the season theme, the premium battle pass includes two cosmetic armor sets for all classes, the High Witch and Exalted Witch cosmetic sets. It also includes 19 weapon cosmetics, two town portals, two mounts and mount armors, and an emote for the five original classes, sorry Spiritborn players. To progress through the battle pass you just need to play the new season, although completing Season Journey tasks will reward you with more battle pass XP faster.

The premium version of the battle pass costs 1,000 Silver ($10 USD), but it does include 700 across the 90 tiers of unlocks. There is also an accelerated version for 2,800 Silver ($28 USD), which includes 20 tier skips and the exclusive Magic of Mushrooms emote for all classes. The battle pass is primary cosmetics, but it does include one gameplay-focused element, which is available in both the free version and paid version, Smoldering Ashes. Smoldering Ashes are used to get seasonal blessings which include simple boosts like extra monster XP or new seasonal ones like an increased drop rate for seasonal power upgrade materials.
